During his visit, Dr.Steve Arounsack spoke with students about storytelling and creativity, sharing examples from his work and explaining how stories help people understand the world and each other. The sessions encouraged students to think more carefully about the stories they tell, where ideas come from and how culture and personal experiences shape creativity. Many left feeling more confident about sharing their own ideas and curious about how stories can be used to communicate meaning, not just entertainment. The visit was a positive and memorable experience for our students and staff, offering inspiration, practical insight and a reminder that creativity has a place in every learner’s journey.
